What is Water Quality, how is it determined and why should we care.
We expect our water resources, including lakes, streams, wetlands and groundwater to provide us with many services. Some of these uses, and other human activities, both current and historical, as well as natural processes degrade these waters. We need a method by which we can determine whether a given body of water is suitable for the use that we desire of it. That is what water quality is all about.
Water Quality Definition
Water Quality is the biological, chemical and physical condition of a waterbody. It is a measure of the waterbody's ability to support certain beneficial uses.
